Life is about choices. But animals have no voice so they don’t have the luxury of making choices. They don't have any say in what happens to them. They don’t get to vote so they don't count.

Animals depend on us for a lot of things, and one of those things is to protect them. They trust us to make the right choices for them. To be their voice. To speak up and advocate for their safety and well-being.

PART has made a choice to advocate for and support the NO KILL Equation. PART will not end the life of an animal unless that life is suffering.

Demand change. Demand the NO KILL model of sheltering as our future.

You have the power to speak up for the voiceless. It’s your community. It’s your choice.

Choose NO KILL. TOGETHER we can SAVE THEM ALL.

Additional information on the NO KILL Equation can be found at: www.nokilladvocacycenter.org.
Shall we, because we walk on our hind feet, assume to ourselves only the privilege of imperishability? ~George Eliot

A spay-abort is when a pregnant cat or dog is spayed before delivery, resulting in the termination of her pregnancy. Is it ethical? Is it the answer to controlling pet overpopulation? Our answer is NO. We believe it to be cruel and unethical.

Pet overpopulation is something that we, the PEOPLE, created due to irresponsibility. So why should they suffer and be punished for something WE created? Their lives is as important to them as ours is to us. They want to live as much as we do.

Our philosophy is to save as many lives as we can. We will not knowingly and intentionally abort a pregnant animal except when the animal’s health is at risk and only on the recommendation of our partner veterinarian. We will most definitely not spay/abort a pregnant animal that is close to term. Our goal is to save lives and killing does not accomplish this goal.

We strongly advocate for spay and neuter as part of being a responsible pet owner/guardian. Spay/neuter education is also part of our CORE program. In the community, we strongly advocate for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as a way to control pet overpopulation.

PART values and respects the life of every animal. We believe that they are worth saving and given a chance to live. PART believes and supports the NO KILL philosophy.
