WHO WE ARE

​The Philippine Animal Rescue Team (PART) is the first and ONLY NO KILL, SEC registered animal rescue organization in the Philippines. PART is founded and run by a dedicated group of volunteers committed to changing the way animals are viewed and treated, not only in the Philippines, but around the world. 

We rely on the kindness and generosity of our members and animal lovers everywhere to help us care for sick and injured animals and to give them a second chance in life to be happy, healthy, and well-loved.

OUR BELIEFS

  • We believe that compassion for animals starts in the home by educating children and adults about being responsible pet guardians.
  • We believe in being responsible pet guardians and advocate for spaying and neutering to control the animal population.
  • We believe that education and knowledge is critical and advise and educate our members on proper animal care.
  • We believe in animal rights and stricter punishment for guilty persons.

OUR MISSION & VISION

Our mission is to rescue abandoned, sick, and injured animals and provide quality veterinary care, spaying and neutering, rehabilitation, and ultimately, a forever loving home where they can become part of a family. 

Our vision is to effect change in society by raising awareness about animal cruelty and abuse.

OUR CORE VALUES

DONOR PRIVACY

PART respects the privacy of our adopters, donors and volunteers.  We only collect personal information to acknowledge and process donations as well as send future correspondence to keep you abreast of our activities. We do not sell, trade or share any donor information to any outside agencies. ​

DONATIONS & EXPENSES

Our policy is to spend 90-95% of donations we received towards the following (in no particular order) : 
  • Maintain the Paws and Claws Animal Sanctuary's needs (animal associate salary, pet food, utilities) at an optimum level so our more than 500 adoptable dogs, cats, turtles, goats, ducks, chickens and turkeys remain healthy and happy; and ready for adoption to a responsible animal lover anytime. 
  • Vet bills of our rescues.
  • Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program
  • Trap-Neuter and Return (TNR)

EUTHANASIA

Consistent with our NO KILL mission, PART does not euthanize an animal unless it is suffering and no other medical assistance can be given to alleviate its pain. PART understands there are times that an animal can no longer be saved from its injuries or illness and the compassionate thing to do is to euthanize the animal. We strongly advocate NO KILL for animals and believe that every reasonable effort and all options must be considered and exerted so every animal can become the best that they can be.

ABORTION

Consistent with our NO KILL mission, PART does not spay-abort.

SPAY/NEUTER

PART advocates spaying/neutering pets at the earliest age deemed safe for the animal.

BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATIONS

PART does not support any breed specific legislations. We believe that every animal must be individually evaluated for their actions and not generalized because of their breed. We also believe that a responsible pet owner should not be penalized just because they own a particular breed.

FARM ANIMALS

We do not impose vegetarianism or veganism to anyone but we believe that farm animals have the right to live and enjoy life without harm.

All PART events shall be vegetarian. ​

Board of Trustees and Administrators

ALL PART Board of Trustees, Management, and Administrators are VOLUNTEERS. 

ONLY Animal Care Associates receive a salary.
